Some interesting things in the world of Nerddom went on this week.  A sex tape, a Youtube divorce announcement, tons of comic book releated film and game projects, and G4TV gets stoned…wait, that’s an announcement?  From the look of their recent programming, I’d say they’ve been high there for a while now.

And awaaaaaay we go!

Sex from Beyond the Grave!

New Marilyn Monroe sex tape uncovered!Hollywood’s latest sex scandal may turn out to be one of its oldest.  That’s right, a 15 minute, 16mm reel of film has been uncovered which shows Marilyn Monroe administering some oral-loving on an unknown man whose face was just off camera.  In the early 60s, J Edgar Hoover spent weeks trying to proove the unknown man was either John F Kennedy or Robert Kennedy.  Whoever it was, I have to give him props…if it had been me in the reel, the footage would only have been about a minute and a half long.

The recovered footage was sold to an unnamed businessman for $1.5 million dollars, who said he would not be releasing the tape out of respect for Marilyn.  I’d say that means we have about 6 months before it hits YouTube.

Youtube Divorces?

Speaking of Youtube, A woman named Tricia Walsh-Smith has uploaded a video to YouTube describing her husband, a man 25-years her senior, and how he is attempting to throw her out of their house by using a clause in their prenuptual agreement.  I have to say, after watching the video, I’d divorce the woman as well.  She’s got some crazy eyes.  Sitting through the 6+ minute video is as uncomfortable as it is mesmerizing.

The Incredible Sulk, Edward Norton

In a bad sign for the upcoming Incredible Hulk movie, Edward Norton is refusing to do press or interviews for the film.  The star of the $150 million dollar sequel to the original Hulk film, has declined a number of press appearances and interviews following a disagreement with producers of the film over the final cut.  Norton responded that the news was blown out of proportion and that the film would “speak for itself.”  This sort of thing is usually a very bad sign for a movie.  The Incredible Hulk will be released in theaters on Jun 13, 2008…I’m hoping it doesn’t suck as hard as the last one.

New GI Joe the Movie Photo Released

Scarlett is hot, but the movie will probably still suck gooch.A new photo from the upcoming Paramount adaptation of GI Joe has been released.  This time we get to see Rachel Nichols (Alias) as hot, crossbow wielding Scarlett O’Hara.  In spite of myself, I’m starting to get a bit excited about this film.  As a kid in the 80s I was a monster GI Joe fan and had tons of the toys…I never had the aircraft carrier, but I aways wanted it!  The last picture they released was of Ray Park as Snake-Eyes, which looked good in a cheesy-sort of way.  What worries me is that it is being helmed by Stephen Sommers, who is best-known as the direct of Van Helsing (or would that be worst-known?).  All indications seem to point at the live-action GI Joe flick being a huge turd but I carry a small bit of hope that everything will turn out right in the end.

And Then They Got High

G4TV is doing a day dedicated to 420 today.  Lucky for them, the only ones still watching their channel are already stoned.

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe teaster trailer released

Just announced is the Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe game for the XBox360 and Playstation 3 consoles later this year.  The talk I’ve heard is the game’s violence and gore is going to be toned way down due to the presence of DC’s characters.  At this point I’m guessing this game is going to be a stinker on the level of Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi.

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows teaster trailer released

In another bit of superhero game news, a teaser trailer has been released for Spider-man Web of Shadows.  The trailer looks cool, but without any indication of actual game play I’ll remain a bit skeptical about this one as well.  Ultimate Spider-man was a great game, but none of the Spidey games since have been anything to write home about.

Getting Your Rock of Love Off

The search for love is over for Brett Michaels and Rock of Love Season 2Tonight is a sad night here at Casa de Nastos.  That’s right, the final episode of Rock of Love 2 with Brett Michaels airs and it will leave a tiny hole in our Sunday night television viewing schedule. Even worse, tho, it will leave a small hole in our hearts.  You see, and I’m incredibly embarrassed to admit to this, my wife and I have followed this show religiously since the first season.

Tonight’s season finale is a reunion episode bringing back all the most interesting girls from this season.  The previews show a knockdown brawl between last season’s Heather and runner-up, Daisy.  As sad as I am to see the show go, I’m excited to see the big ending.  Here’s hoping there’s a Rock of Love 3.

2008 Eisner Comic Book Nominations

That’s right, it’s that time again for the comic book industry’s version of the AVN Awards in the “adult” industry.  I know a lot of people would have compared it to the Academy Awards, but it’s more one of those things that no body notices, no body cares about and really doesn’t mean anything to anyone, even in the industry.  It’s kind of like industry masturbation.  Sure, it gets the job done, but is it really all that satisfying in the end? I guess if you can’t get anyone good to give you an award then you might as well do it yourself.

Anyway, online voting has commenced for the Eisner Awards and you can place your own vote by going to http://www.eisnervote.com.  Don’t forget to pick up some napkins and hand lotion before you go.

That’s it from the NerdCave for this week.  I’ll see you tomorrow for a new episode of Game on!
